WealthMgr Docs

The Getting Started page (wizard hub) provides guided wizards for common setup tasks and interactive tutorials for learning advanced features.

Accessing wizards

Go to Getting Started (rocket icon) in the sidebar, or click Getting Started from the Dashboard checklist.

Setup wizards

Each wizard walks you through a specific setup task with a step-by-step form. When you complete a wizard, WealthMgr marks it as done and shows a tick.

Set up paycheck

The paycheck wizard is the most important starting point. It creates:

  • A deposit account (the bank account your pay lands in).
  • An income rule for the paycheck itself.
  • Transfer rules for each allocation (savings, bills budget, goals, etc.).

See the Paychecks page for the full walkthrough.

Configure initial accounts

This wizard helps you create your core accounts:

  • Checking / current account.
  • Savings account.
  • Credit cards.
  • Any loans.

You enter the opening balance for each account. These become the starting point for your net worth history.

Configure a recurring bill

The bill wizard creates a transfer rule tagged as bill:

  1. Name the bill and enter the amount.
  2. Choose a frequency (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
  3. Set the next due date.
  4. Choose a source account/pocket and a destination expense account.

The bill appears in the Bills page after completion.

Configure a loan

The loan wizard sets up a liability account for a loan:

  1. Enter the loan name, outstanding balance, and currency.
  2. Set the monthly payment amount and schedule.
  3. Choose the source asset account for payments.

The loan balance decreases as you record payments.

Tutorials

Below the wizards, the Getting Started page lists interactive tutorials for features you explore after initial setup. Tutorials launch an in-app guided tour with step-by-step tooltips overlaid on the real interface.

Available tutorials include:

  • Dashboard — understanding the net worth summary and goal card.
  • Automations — building rules for recurring transfers.
  • Reports — reading the charts and pinning accounts.
  • Projections — modelling future balances with what-if rules.

Tip

Wizards are rerunnable. If you want to add another paycheck or configure a second loan, open the wizard again from the Getting Started page.

Completion status

Wizards track completion per user. The Dashboard checklist shows ticks for:

  • ✓ Goal (set via the goal onboarding flow)
  • ✓ Paycheck (set via the paycheck wizard)
  • ✓ First allocation (any non-goal pocket exists)

You can dismiss the checklist from the Dashboard even if not all steps are complete.
